Andrew Weitzel is the CEO and owner of 49P Accounting and Advisory Ltd. (49PAA). He knows the hard work and sacrifice it takes to run a successful business. An experienced CPA with 15+ years of finance and accounting experience, Andrew has had the opportunity to delve into a diverse array of industries and unique public practice engagements. Harnessing his own entrepreneurial spark, Andrew looks to take the culmination of his career and offer exceptional services through his company, 49PAA.
Andrew knows not everyone speaks ‘accountant’. There is a lot to keep track of and plan when starting, maintaining, or expanding a business. That’s why he created 49PAA: Andrew recognized that most business owners and entrepreneurs start their businesses because they want to work for themselves and provide a product/service that they’re passionate about. Paperwork can get in the way of passion – but at 49PAA, paperwork is our passion!

Knowing our team personally
Andrew grew up in Kamloops, BC. Not surprisingly, his Interior upbringing instilled a deep love and passion for hockey! You can still find Andrew playing goalie on Monday nights for the Canal Flats Canadians Oldtimers.
Andrew spent other parts of his years living in Pemberton, Victoria, and Vancouver (where he even explored a stint in acting!). He recently settled in the Village of Canal Flats, located in the beautiful East Kootenay region of the Columbia Valley (British Columbia).
Canal Flats was selected due to the brilliant outdoor prospects that lie just steps from the door – and to create lasting family memories in the charming backdrop of a small-town community. He and his partner, Kira (who is also a dedicated 49PAA employee), stay busy volunteering their time in the community, exploring the great outdoors, and raising their adorable daughter.
Not only is Andrew’s family growing, so are his aspirations for the company. As demand grows, so will the 49PAA family. He is eager for the opportunity to build a skilled team within his practice to facilitate the expansion of 49PAA’s service offerings.
